dc.description.abstract | Bithynia kayrae n. sp. is described from a limnocrene area and small streams (Kirkgozler Kaynagi, Kocaba cayi, and Dumrek cayi) on the Biga Peninsula, northwestern Turkey (Asia Minor). Although this family has been intensively studied, predominantly in the Balkan region, and although several species of bithyniids have been reported from Turkey, species distributions and diversity remain incompletely known. | |
