dc.description.abstractThe scope of this study is to investigate the relationship between the observable abnormal changes in the nature, animals, electronic devices and the large-scale earthquakes for the 24 January 2020 Mw=6.8 Elazig-Sivrice Earthquake. These abnormal changes were collected by using face-to-face survey technique on 127 volunteer disaster victims in the shelters located in the center of Elazig province after the earthquake. The questionnaire is applied to 127 disaster victims in different disaster relief shelter areas located in Elazig after the earthquake. According to the survey findings, a total of 117 unusual observations about humans, a total of 214 unusual observations about animals, a total of 147 unusual observations of the sky, a total of 165 unusual observations of the weather, a total of 59 unusual observations on spring waters and fountain, a total of 31 unusual observations on lakes and dams and a total of 73 extraordinary observations in electrical-electronic devices are observed. As a result, it can be said that the abnormalities in the nature, animals and electronic devices warm to us within the month before the Earthquakes. To record the abnormal changes, which are also observed before many major earthquakes on a global scale, as earthquake precursors are going to contribute to the development of earthquake prediction studies and early warning systems at local scale. © 2022 ARSMB-KVBMG.
