| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma, Biga Sancağına bağlı, Lapseki kazasına ait 1845 tarihli temettuat defteri esas alınarak hazırlanmıştır. Temettuat sayımları adil ve güvenilir bir vergi düzeni kurmak için yapılmıştır. Kazada Lapseki, Çardak, Bergos olmak üzere üç şehir yerleşiminde 15 mahalle ve 44 köy bulunmaktadır. Mahallelerde 754, köylerde ise 833 hane reisi ikamet etmektedir. Makalede, hanelerin sahip olduğu emlak, arazi ve hayvanlarla, hane reislerinin gelir düzeyi ve vergi yükleri ele alınmıştır. Lapseki kazasındaki hane reislerinin büyük çoğunluğu tarımla ilgili mesleklerle uğraşmaktadır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | This study is based on the examination of the 1845 temettuat defter (revenue register) that belonged to the district of Lapseki in the sancak of Biga. The temettuat registers were carried out in order to establish a just and trustworthy taxation system. In the district there were 15 quarters and 44 villages in three settlements, Lapseki, Çardak, and Bergos. 754 household heads were living in the quarters, while 833 in the villages. This paper gives an inventory of estates, land and livestock for the households and examines the level of income and tax burden of the household heads. The majority of the household heads appears to have engaged in agricultural works in the district of Lapseki. | en_US |
