dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada Erimtan Arkeoloji ve Sanat Müzesi’nde bulunan, bir grup bronz kantar ve terazi ağırlığı konu edilmiştir. Bizans dönemine ait olan ve satın alma ya da bağış yolu ile müze koleksiyonuna katılmış olan eserlerin buluntu yerleri kesin olmamakla birlikte, mevcut araştırma ve yayınlar ışığında Anadolu kökenli oldukları kabul edilebilir. Tamamı bronz olan eserlerin ikisi erken Bizans dönemine ait kantar türündeki teraziler olup, üzerlerinde ölçü birimlerini gösteren bir takım çizgi ve harfler bulunur. Koleksiyonda yer alan ağırlıklardan biri de bu tür kantarlarda kullanılan büst şeklindeki bir kantar ağırlığıdır ve erken Bizans dönemine tarihlenir. Yakın bir zamanda restore edilmiş olan eserler bugün oldukça iyi kondisyondadırlar. Çalışmada ele alınan ve diğer bir eser grubunu oluşturan terazi ağırlıkları ise biri hariç erken Bizans dönemine ait olup, bunlar da oldukça iyi durumdadırlar. Gerek form ve biçim gerekse üzerlerindeki kazıma tekniğinde yapılmış bazı bezemelere ve ağırlık ölçü birimlerini gösteren sembol ya da işaretlere sahip olmaları bakımından oldukça nitelikli oldukları kabul edilebilir.
dc.description.abstractThis study focuses on a group of bronze steelyards and weights in the Erimtan Archeology and Art Museum. These objects belong to the Byzantine period and have been added to the museum collection by purchase or donation. Although the locations of artifacts are not certain, it can be accepted that they are all Anatolian origin in the light of current research and publications. Two of these objects are the bronze steelyards of the early Byzantine period and there are several lines and letters on them indicating the units of measurement. Also, one of the objects in the collection is in the form of a bronze steelyard weight in the form of an empress bust, which is used in such scales dated to the early Byzantine period. Another group of objects are weights in the collection and also belong to the early Byzantine period except one and they are in very good condition. It is understood that these weighing objects are quite qualified due to their form and shape features and some decorations made of engraving technique as symbols or signs for showing weighting units.
