EXPERIENCED CLASSROOM TEACHERS’ OPINIONS ON INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

The aim of this research was to receive the opinions of classroom teachers who had had at least one inclusion student in their classrooms during their professional lives. For this purpose, among 151 classroom teachers who had inclusion students in the city of Çanakkale, interviews were conducted with 45 classroom teachers who had educated at least one inclusion student during their teaching lives. The qualitative research method was employed in the research, and semi-structured interviews was used as the data collection tool. In line with the research objective, the classroom teachers were asked if they support the application of inclusion or not with its reasons, about the problems they encounter and their suggestions. 31 68,89% of 45 participant classroom teachers stated that they do not support inclusive education

Bu araştırma öğretmenlik hayatı süresince en az bir kaynaştırma öğrencisi olan sınıf öğretmenlerinin bu konudaki tecrübelerini yansıtmak ve görüşlerini almak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla Çanakkale ilinde ulaşılabilen ve kaynaştırma öğrencisi olan 151 sınıf öğretmeni içerisinden öğretmenlik hayatı boyunca en az bir kaynaştırma öğrencisine öğretmenlik yapmış olan 45 sınıf öğretmeninin tamamıyla görüşme yapılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış, veri toplama tekniği olarak da yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda sınıf öğretmenlerine kaynaştırma uygulamasını destekleyip desteklemedikleri, bu durumun nedenleri, yaşadıkları sorunların neler olduğu ve önerileri sorulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda görüşme yapılan 45 sınıf öğretmeninin 31’ i %68,89 kaynaştırma eğitimini desteklemediğini ifade etmiştir
