The f(2)(1270) tensor meson contribution to the phi -> pi(0) pi(0). decay is studied within the framework of a phenomenological approach. The higher resonance is combined with the process involving f(0) scalar meson intermediate state and chiral loop. Then, we estimate the coupling constant gfs. considering the effect of the phi-omega. mixing and a set of values of sigma meson parameters Ms and Ts. And also we investigate the effect of the coupling constant gfs. for the phi -> pi(0) pi(0) . decay considering different groups of the contributions. A comparison of our results with the ones existing in the literature is presented.
