dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted between January 2013 and December 2013 in Saros Bay. A single specimen of S umbra with the maximum size (41.7 cm in total length and 180.00 g in total length) was caught from Ibrice Bight (Sams Bay) with hand line by fisherman on 20 April 2013. The weight-length relationship was calculated as W = 0.0268TL(2.79) for all samples. The aim of this study is to present the maximum size record of the species for the Aegean Sea.
