Özet
There is a known fact that comprehensive changes must be done upon social life and social system in rapidly varying and developing world. In this regard, structural arrangements are needed to make education steps furnishing services to society and curriculum are also needed to be developed in accordance with these arrangements. Social Studies curriculum which was put into practice at 2005-2006 education year after its pilot application in 9 provinces were also absolutely based upon this requirement. In this study, the perceptions of theachers who are corner stones on effectively application of curriculum, about Social Studies Curriculum aims were tried to determine. For this purpose, the scale which was developed by researchers were applied to teachers, collective data were analyzed statistically and teachers' perceptions and offers about the acquisitions of curriculum aims of "new" social studies were concatenated based upon findings.
