Opinions of History Teachers about Measuring and Evaluating Student Success in the Instruction of History

Aim of this study is to define history teachers’ opinions about measuring and evaluating student success in the instruction of history. Population of the study is 56 official high schools in province of Çanakkale. No sample is taken from the population since the entire population could be reached. Required data for the study is acquired by literature review and survey. According to results, history teachers agreed to straightness of justification, validity of criterions and possibility of errors on measuring and evaluating student success in the instruction of history. Suggestions are put forward for the practitioners and researchers according to the results [TR] Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, ortaöğretimde tarih öğretmenlerinin tarih öğretiminde öğrenci başarısını ölçüp değerlendirmelerine ilişkin görüşlerini ortaya koyabilmektir. Araştırmanın evrenini Çanakkale ilindeki 56 resmi lise oluşturmaktadır. Evren içinden ayrıca küme örneklem alma yoluna gidilmemiştir. Araştırma için gerekli veriler literatür taraması ve anket uygulaması yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, Tarih öğretmenlerinin tarih öğretiminde öğrenci başarısını ölçüp değerlendirme gerekçelerinin doğruluğuna, ölçütlerinin geçerliliğine ve sürece hata karışabildiğine ilişkin görüşleri “katılıyorum” düzeyindedir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre uygulayıcılara ve araştırmacılara öneriler sunulmuştur
