| dc.description.abstract | With technological advancements, the internet, a global communication tool, has become part of our lives. More and more demand has been placed on the internet, which quickly and easily meets people's needs, such as information, entertainment, communications, and so on. But the widespread use of the internet has brought negative consequences. This study will therefore address the concept of internet dependency, one of the negative consequences of the internet. The research was done to determine the internet addiction and internet usage habits of Canakkale people. Two hundred eleven people aged 18-46 participated in the study using the general scan model. The study using the random sampling technique uses the descriptive statistical technique. The findings found that most participants were using the internet to inform and research and were angry when the internet was disconnected or slowed down. In addition, it has been found that most participants are happy and peaceful when they use the internet, and that using the internet comforts them when they feel anxious or troubled. | |
