dc.description.abstractBu araştırmanın amacı ortaokul öğrencilerinin hayat boyu Fen'e yönelik tutumlarının incelenmesidir. Araştırma kapsamında belirlenen bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırmanın örneklem grubunu ise; 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında Çanakkale Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı olan iki ortaokulda 5. - 8. Sınıflarda öğrenim gören toplam 636 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Çalışma kapsamında veri toplama aracı olarak Kızılcık, vd.'nin (2023) hayat boyu fen ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ortaokul öğrencileri üzerinden toplanan verilerin analizinde ise SPSS 26 programından yararlanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda öncelikle verilerin çarpıklık ve basıklık değerleri incelenmiş ve verilerin normal dağılım sağladığı belirlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda verilerin analizinde parametrik testlerden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada ortaokul öğrencilerinin hayat boyu Fen'e yönelik tutumlarının cinsiyet, kişisel bilgisayarının olup olmama durumu, sosyal medyada bilimsel içerikli hesapları takip etme durumu ve sosyal medyada bilim insanlarını takip etme durumuna göre yapılan karşılaştırmalarda bağımsız örneklem t testi uygulanmıştır. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin hayat boyu Fen'e yönelik tutumlarının sınıf düzeyi, fen bilimleri dersinde kendilerini başarılı hissetme durumları ve fen bilimleri not ortalamalarına göre yapılan karşılaştırmalarda ise tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) uygulanmıştır. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin hayat boyu Fen' e yönelik tutumlarının incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmada sonuç olarak; kız öğrencilerin çevre farkındalığı düzeylerinin erkek öğrencilere oranla daha yüksek olduğu, 5. Sınıfta öğrenim gören öğrencilerin hayat boyu Fen'e ilişkin tutumlarının diğer sınıflarda öğrenim gören öğrencilere oranla daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilirken, Fen bilimleri dersinde kendilerini başarılı hisseden öğrencilerin hayat boyu Fen'e ilişkin tutumlarının yüksek olduğu, öğrencilerin not ortalamalarının arttıkça, hayat boyu Fen'e ilişkin tutumlarının da yüksek olduğu, sosyal medyada bilimsel içerikli hesapları takip eden öğrencilerin, hayat boyu Fen'e yönelik toplam tutumlarının sosyal medyada bilimsel içerikli hesapları takip etmeyen öğrencilere oranla yüksek olduğu ve sosyal medyada, bilim insanlarını takip eden öğrencilerin gözlem ve merak düzeyleri, sosyal medyada bilim insanlarını takip etmeyen öğrencilere oranla yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to examine the attitudes of secondary school students towards science throughout their lives. In line with this purpose determined within the scope of the research, the sample group of the research is; In the 2023-2024 academic year, 5th - 8th grades in 2 schools affiliated to the Çanakkale Directorate of National Education. There are a total of 636 students studying in the classes. Within the scope of the study, the lifelong science scale was used as a data collection tool. The lifelong science scale was developed by Kızılcık, Tokcan and Akçöltekin (2023) and validity and reliability studies were conducted. In the analysis of the data collected from secondary school students, SPSS 26 program was used. In this context, first of all, the skewness and kurtosis values of the data were examined and it was determined that the data provided normal distribution. In this context, parametric tests were used in the analysis of the data. In the study, an independent sample t-test was applied in the comparisons of secondary school students' lifelong attitudes towards Science according to gender, whether they have a personal computer or not, whether they follow scientific accounts on social media and their status of following scientists on social media. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was applied in the comparisons made according to the lifelong attitudes of secondary school students towards science, their feeling successful in science courses and science grade point averages. As a result of this research, which was carried out to examine the attitudes of secondary school students towards science throughout their lives; Female students' environmental awareness levels were higher than male students, 5. While it was determined that the lifelong attitudes of the students studying in the classroom towards Science were higher than the students studying in other classes, the lifelong attitudes of the students who felt successful in the science course were high, as the grade point averages of the students increased, their attitudes towards science throughout their life were also high, and the total attitudes of the students who followed the scientific content accounts on social media towards science throughout their lives were social. It was determined that it was higher than the students who did not follow scientific accounts in the media, and the observation and curiosity levels of the students who followed the scientists on social media were higher than the students who did not follow the scientists on social media.
