    A Study on Bibliography of Theses and Dissertations Submitted in The Psychology of Religion in Turkey

    This study is about the bibliographies of graduate thesis in the psychology of religion in Turkey. Thus, this paper presents the works of graduate thesis completed and continue in all Turkish theological faculties from 1963 to 2008. The aim of study is to collect and classify the graduate theses and to introduce information of graduate theses for researchers in the psychology of religion in Turkey. Metodologically all theses were classified as master thesis, doctorate dissertation and theses dealing with psychology of religion. Moreover, subjects of these works were classified as alphabetically.

    An Assessment of Religious Conflicts and Their Resolutions

    Religious conflicts were explored in a sample of 2002 adults, 132 of whom provided written descriptions of conflicts they considered to be religious in nature. The majority of conflicts involved other people, but the resolution of the conflict did not. Participants also completed Hunt's Literal, Antiliteral and Mythological scales of religiousness. Mythological scores were significantly greater among people who had experienced conflict than among those who had not. No reliable differences in Literal and Antiliteral scores were observed between participants who have experienced religious conflict and those who have not.

    Cognitive Perception and Interpretation Types of University Students About The Gallipolis Wars

    The aim of this study, is to determine perceptions and interpretation types of the university students about The Gallipolis Wars. The sampling group of study (139 students: 51 male, 88 female) are randomly selected from the pool of students who study at the Faculties of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University. The age of samples range from 19 to 24 (mean age=21.09). As for the instrument used for gathering data is, Perception and Interpretation Types of The Gallipolis Wars Inventory. In the end of the study, it is determined that perceptions of students about The Gallipolis Wars, martyrdom and effects that after visits the martyrdom areas were consistent with each other. Also it is seen that participants have high level interest and awareness related the issue.

    DİNSEL ÇATIŞMALARIN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ VE ÇÖZÜM YOLLARI

    Dinsel çatışmalar, 132'sine yapı açısından dinsel olarak gördükleri çatışmaların yazılı tanımları sağlandığı, 202 yetişkinden oluşan bir örneklem üzerinde incelenmiştir. Çatışmaların çoğunluğu diğer insanları ilgilendirmekte fakat bu çatışmaların çözümü ilgilendirmemektedir. Deneklere Hunt'un Literal, anti-literal ve Mitolojik dindarlık ölçekleri de uygulanmıştır. Mitolojik puanlar, çatışma yaşayanlar arasında yaşamayanlara göre önemli bir biçimde daha yüksektir. Dinsel çatışma yaşayan ve yaşamayan katılımcılar arasında Literal ve antiliteral puanlarda güvenilir bir fark gözlenmemiştir.

    Religiosity and Cognitive Processes

    An essential role in rationality is played by man's cognitive processes, particularly his intellect. But these processes simultaneously are the basis of one of the numerous dimensions of religious belief-of a cognitive, or declarative dimension. The study has for aim to underline some of the more recent psychological notions from this domain, without dealing in any detail with the complex philosophical or theological aspects of the issue. We shall confine ourselves briefly to outline the relationship between science and religion, or between modern psychology and religion.

    ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN   ÇANAKKALE SAVAŞLARIYLA  İLGİLİ BİLİŞSEL ALGI VE   YORUMLAMA BİÇİMLERİ

    Bu araştırmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin Çanakkale savaşlarıyla ilgili algı ve yorumlama biçimlerini belirlemeye çalışmaktır. Bu çalışmanın örneklemini, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi'ne bağlı Su Ürünleri Fakültesi, Ziraat Fakültesi'nin Peyzaj Mimarlığı Bölümü ve Eğitim Fakültesinin Sınıf Öğretmenliği, Coğrafya Öğretmenliği, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği, Edebiyat, Resim Öğretmenliği, Biyoloji, Almanca, Matematik, İngilizce, Kimya, Fizik, Okulöncesi ve Türkçe Bölümlerinde öğrenim gören öğrenciler arasından tesadüfî yöntemle seçilmiş 139 kişi (erkek=51, kız=88) oluşturmaktadır. Deneklerin yaş ranjı, 19-24 olup, yaş ortalaması 21.09'dur. Veri toplama aracı olarak, \"Çanakkale Savaşlarını Algı ve Yorumlama Biçimleri Anketi\" kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, öğrencilerin Çanakkale savaşları, şehitlik olgusu ve ziyaret sonrası etki ile ilgili algılarının birbiriyle tutarlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca katılımcıların konuyla ilgili yüksek düzeyde ilgi ve farkındalığa sahip oldukları görülmektedir.
