Religiosity and Cognitive Processes

An essential role in rationality is played by man's cognitive processes, particularly his intellect. But these processes simultaneously are the basis of one of the numerous dimensions of religious belief-of a cognitive, or declarative dimension. The study has for aim to underline some of the more recent psychological notions from this domain, without dealing in any detail with the complex philosophical or theological aspects of the issue. We shall confine ourselves briefly to outline the relationship between science and religion, or between modern psychology and religion.
