dc.description.abstractNike'ye ait kabartmaların ve heykellerin kronolojik olarak sıralandığı bu çalışmada, tanrıçanın ortaya çıkışı ile heykeltıraşlık eserlerindeki gelişimi incelenmiştir. İlk defa Giganthomakia'da görülen Nike, Antik Çağ boyunca dini, sosyal ve politik konulardaki önemini çeşitli değişimlere uğrayarak devam ettirmiştir. Tanrıçanın betimlenişi her heykel veya kabartmanın farklı amaçlara yönelik olduğu ve çeşitli mesajlar içerdiği anlaşılmıştır. Tanrıçaya ait heykel ve kabartmalar Antik Yunan'daki heykeltıraşlık gelişimini geniş ölçüde yansıtmaktadır. Betimlemelerde genellikle arka planda görülen Nike, bir elçi ve müjdeci olarak algılanmıştır. Bu araştırma sonucunda tanrıçanın Yunan ve Roma inanışlarındaki varlığı ele alınarak Antik Çağ heykeltıraşlarının, tanrıçayı nerede, hangi şekilde ve hangi amaçlarla betimledikleri anlaşılmak istenmiştir. Betimlenen heykel veya kabartmaların özellikle yerleri, pozisyonları baktıkları yön, elbiselerinin biçimi ve tuttukları nesnler önemli mesajlar içermektedir. Bu betimlemeler ile bütün kompozisyon tanımlanarak eserler detaylı bir biçimde incelenmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Heykel, kabartma, Nike, Roma mitolojisi, sikke, Viktoria, Yunan mitolojisi ve zafer.
dc.description.abstractIn this study, the statues and reliefs of Nike/ Victoria are cronologically classsified that the emergence of the goddess and development of the sculpted works examined. Nike who was first mentioned in Gigantomachy, maintained her importance of religious, social and political subjects with various changings. It has been understood that depiction of every statue and relief of the goddess vary according to the different purposes and include several messages. Statues and reliefs belong to the goddess reflect the development of sculpture extensively in Ancient Greece. Nike was sensed as a forerunner and messenger who generally occured in the background. In the result of this research, it is intended to understand where, how, and which purposes were followed for the depiction of goddess by sculptors in antiquity through goddess' asset in Greek and Roman beliefs. Especially locations, positions, direction of lookings, shape of drapery and objects hold by the goddess' reliefs and statues contain significant messages. With this depictions whole composition defined and whole work examined in detail. Key Words: Coin, Greek mythology, Nike, relief, Roman mythology, statue, victory and Victoria.
