Özet

The aim of this study is to determine the knowledge level of the preservice teachers and to explaintheir knowledge level about curriculum according to several variables. Since curriculum are animportant part of teaching process, it is crucial to determine the level of knowledge of preserviceteachers who will be the implementers of teaching programs. In the study, the survey models wasused. The population of this study consists of preservice teachers studying Primary Education andPreschool Education in the Department of Basic Education at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.The sample was determined by criterion sampling method. The criterion was that the pre-serviceteachers had received Teaching Principles and Methods program course which they had beenintensively informed about their education programs. “Education Program Achievement Test”and “Personal Information Form” were used as data collection tools. This tests are developed bythe researchers. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 22.0 package program and the findingswere interpreted. In addition, the relationship of preservice teachers’ level of knowledge aboutcurriculum regarding to gender, class, teaching principles and methods lesson success grade,department and grade point average variables were determined.
