dc.description.abstractEdirne, Osmanlı Devleti'nin başkenti İstanbul'dan çok önceleri matbaa ile tanışmıştır. Farklı dini ve etnik grupları içinde barındıran şehirde Osmanlı son döneminde yayınlanan 25 gazete ise bu kültürel zenginliği ifade etmektedir. Edirne'deki bu yerel basın geleneğinin rakamsal olarak düşük bir seyir izlemekle birlikte Cumhuriyet Döneminde de devam ettiği görülmektedir. İkinci Dünya Savaşı sonrası çok partili siyasal hayata geçiş süreci ile tek başına iktidara gelen Demokrat Parti, ulusalda ve yerelde izlediği politikalar ile Edirne'de derin izler bırakmıştır. "Edirne Yerel Basını Penceresinden Demokrat Parti Dönemi (1950-1954)" adlı tez çalışmamızda; DP'nin altın yılları olarak nitelendirilen 1950-1954 yılları arasında yaşanan siyasal olaylar, dış politikada gelişmeler, iktidarın hukuk, eğitim, sağlık, ulaştırma ve haberleşme politikalarının yerele yansımaları incelenmiştir. Temel kaynak olarak ele aldığımız Edirne Postası, İbret, Yeni Edirne ve Vatandaş gazetelerinin bakış açılarıyla iktidarın ilk yıllarındaki icraatlarının Edirne ve çevresine yansımaları çalışmanın temelini oluşturmaktadır. dc.description.abstractEdirne the capital of Ottoman Empire, had long been introduced to the printing press before İstanbul. In the city, comprising different ethnic and religious groups, 25 newspapers published in the last period of the empire displays the cultural diversity and richness. This tradition of local press in Edirne is seen even during the Republican period even though the numbers are slightly low. Democratic Party, which came to rule with the transition to a political system with multiple parties after the Second World War had profound influences in Edirne with its policies on both local and national scale.In this dissertation study, named "Period the Democratic Party, from the local press in Edirne"; with the political and diplomatic events occurring between the years 1950-1954, which was described as Democratic Party's golden years, the power of law, education, health, transport and communication policies were investigated. From the perspective of the newspapers called Edirne Postası, İbret, Yeni Edirne, and Vatandaş, which we dealt with as the main source, the reflection of the performance of the power in the first years had been transferred.
