One of the concepts that has gained importance in the adaptation of businesses to the digital age is the concept of digital transformation. This concept, also referred to as digitalization, is defined as businesses moving their operations and processes to digital platforms, which inherently means that businesses enter an evolutionary transformation process. In this transformation process, the main purpose of the business is to adapt to their environment to provide more value to their environment with existing resources, become more productive and effective. Among the various applications with similar aims with these goals, another approach that stands out today can be stated as "lean management." A lean organization purely focuses on value, quality and high performance by removing various types of waste from the organization. If the lean management approach, defined as eliminating waste that does not add value, can be integrated into the digital transformation process, the results achieved at the end of the process will be much more effective. Also, it is important to take into consideration the challenges of digital transformation such as resistance to change, designing a new business model and structure, and creating a suitable transformation strategy. Lean philosophy serves as a guide and provides organizations with a clear direction on this path of transformation. It is important to note that this is possible because lean management methods are highly compatible with almost all management practices and can be applied together with them. While digital transformation is focused on the digitalization of different organizational elements such as business model, organizational structure, competencies, infrastructure, operations and processes, products and services, and communication; lean methods will remove waste from these elements and guide them to more efficiency and better results. Implementation of the digital transformation process, in which the business is relieved of unnecessary burdens, with lean management principles aimed at getting rid of waste, can create a business model focused on value, an organizational structure allowing flow, free from unnecessary operations and processes, equipped with efficient competencies with high value and focused on customer satisfaction. © 2025 Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
