| dc.description.abstract | Exposition is required for all temporal arts to survive beyond their creation process. 'Temporal dynamic design"could be explained as the combination of momentary mental impulse and intuitions with traditional perceptions and teachings during performance. In this respect, it is not only a moment of performance on impulse but also a way of self-expression and evoking strong feelings. The idea that the concept of musical note can not reflect the artistic unity of the composer combined with the aesthetic concerns of the composer, brings a new quality to the exposition. During traditional music expositions, playing and singing in the right intonation, using microtonal structures skilfully are equally important units both in vocal and instrumental music performances affecting the exposition directly and creating significant differences. At the same time, temporal dynamic design requires musical talent and history, which results in different performances and styles due to the claim of artist to be more creative and free during the process. As a result, performances change as a reflection of the musical and cultural background. This study investigates the differences between the performances of Turkish oral and written music defined as "temporal dynamic design". Musical aspects changing and forcing the borders between 'traditional forms" sometimes exaggerated by performers and sometimes changing the form and structure of the musical expositions due to performance styles will be further studied. | |
