Özet
The purpose of this research is to analyze the teacher, student and parent characters taken place in the TV series called "Arka Siradakiler" and to determine the scenes including violence. In accordance with this purpose, another purpose of the research is to present the possible effects of the TV series on the audience according to the findings obtained. In the study done by using the approach of 'case study' which is one of the qualitative research methods, related series episodes have been analyzed via 'content analysis' method by using 'readily prepared code list'. Study group consists of 9 episodes selected by typical case sampling method from among the purposeful sampling approaches. According to the results obtained from the research, "Arka Siradakiler" TV series has a statement way which aims at reinforcing messages benefiting from the contrasts among characters. In the 9 episodes analyzed, 27 different types of crime and violence events were displayed 111 times. Although it has been taken legal action only 3 times against these violence and crime events, the solution of other crime and violence events has become again displaying crime and violence. Therefore, crime and violence has been discussed as a phenomena resulting in revenge instead of taking legal action. In addition, it has been determined that taking drugs, stereotypical displays and value judgments take place extensively.
