dc.description.abstractİntihar bir insanın yapabileceği en radikal davranışlardan biridir ve tüm toplumu ilgilendirdiğinden küresel bir sorundur. İntihar davranışları toplumdan topluma farklılık gösterir ve bir dizi değişkenle de ilişkilidir. İntihar davranışı ve bu davranışla ilişkili değişkenlerin örüntüsü sosyoloji, psikoloji ve ekonomi gibi çok farklı disiplinler tarafından analiz edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın iki yönlü amacı vardır. Bunlardan ilki; intihar vakaları ile sosyal ve ekonomik değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi veri madenciliği yöntemlerinden olan birliktelik kuralıyla Türkiye açısından incelenmesidir. Diğeri ise; gelişmişlik düzeylerine göre gruplara ayrılan ve rastgele seçilen diğer ülkelerdeki intihar oranları ve gelişmişlikleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Veriler TUİK ve worldstatistic veri tabanından çekilmiştir. Birliktelik analizinde; olayların birlikte gerçekleşme durumları, destek ve güven değerlerine göre yorumlanmıştır. Değişkenler üzerinden oluşturulan hipotezler, uygun istatistiksel analizlerle değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre hem Türkiye'de hem dünyada erkek intiharlarının kadın intiharlarından fazla olduğu, en fazla intiharın 15-29 yaş aralığında olduğu, ekonomik kriz dönemlerinde ve sonraki yıllarda intihar sayılarında artış gözlendiği, medeni durumun intihar için belirleyici olduğu fakat eğitim seviyesinin intihar için belirleyici olmadığı gözlenmiştir. Gelişmişlik durumuna göre incelenen ülkeler bakımından elde edilen sonuçlara göre, gelişmiş ülkelerin intihar oranları diğer kategorilere göre yüksek sonuç vermiştir.
dc.description.abstractSuicide is one of the most radical behaviors a person can commit and is a global problem as it concerns the whole society. Suicidal behaviors vary from society to society and are associated with a range of variables. Suicidal behavior and the pattern of variables associated with this behavior have been analyzed by diverse disciplines such as sociology, psychology, and economics. This study has two-fold objectives. The first one is to examine the relationship between suicide cases and social and economic in Turkey through the association rule, which is a data mining method. The other is an examination of the relationship between suicide rates and development in other randomly selected countries, divided into groups according to their development levels. The data was obtained from TUIK and Worldstatistic database. In association analysis, the co-occurrence of events was interpreted according to support and trust values. Hypotheses formed based on variables were evaluated with appropriate statistical analyses. According to the findings, suicides among males outnumber those among females both in Turkey and in the world, the highest incidence of suicides occurs in the range of 15-29, an increase in suicide numbers is noted during economic crisis and in the subsequent years, marital status is identified as a determinant for suicide, whereas the level of education is not observed to be a determinant for suicide. According to the results obtained from the examination of countries based on their level of development, developed countries have shown higher suicide rates compared to other categories.
