Turist rehberlerinin yaşam boyu öğrenme eğilim ve yeterlikleri

Bilgi ve teknolojideki gelişmeler, bilginin sürekli olarak bir değişim içerisine girmesine neden olmuştur. Yaşanılan bu değişimlere uyum sağlamak için bireyler yaşam boyunca kendilerini geliştirme ve yenileme ihtiyacı duymaktadır. Yaşanan değişimlere uyum sağlamak bireyde bilgi birikimin artmasına olanak sağlamaktadır. Doğası gereği birey, doğumundan itibaren öğrenmeyi sürekli bir ihtiyaç olarak görmektedir. Öğrenme ihtiyacının yaşam boyu var olması "yaşam boyu öğrenme" kavramını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Yaşam boyu öğrenmek ve bilgilerini sürekli olarak güncellemek zorunda olan turist rehberlerinin bu anlayışı bir yaşam tarzı haline getirmesi gerektiği düşünülmektedir. Bu şekilde turistlere her zaman doğru ve güncel bilgiler sunmanın önü açılabilir. Doğru ve güncel bilgiler sunmak, verilen rehberlik hizmetinin kalitesini artırmanın yanı sıra turist memnuniyetini de sağlayabilir. Bu durum ülke turizmi ve ekonomisi için olumlu sonuçlar ortaya çıkarabilir. Çalışmada turist rehberlerinin yaşam boyu öğrenme eğilim ve yaşam boyu öğrenme yeterliklerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan araştırma, turist rehberlerinde bir farkındalık oluşturulması bakımından öneme sahiptir. Çalışmada, 403 eylemli turist rehberine anket uygulanmış ve elde edilen veriler analizlerle desteklenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, turist rehberlerinin yaşam boyu öğrenme eğilimleri ve yaşam boyu öğrenme yeterlik düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Rehberlerin yaşam boyu öğrenme yeterliklerinin: rehberliği asıl iş olarak yapanlara, cinsiyete, çalışma kartının türüne, hizmet verilen uyruğa, medeni duruma ve yılda ortalama çalışılan gün sayısına göre kısmen anlamlı farklılıklar olduğunu göstermektedir. Yaşam boyu öğrenme eğilimleri açısından ise, lisansüstü eğitim düzeylerine sahip turist rehberlerinin yaşam boyu öğrenme eğilimleri diğer eğitim düzeylerine sahip turist rehberlerine göre daha yüksektir. Rehberlik eğitimini üniversite alan turist rehberlerinin, eğitimlerini sertifika programından alanlara göre yaşam boyu öğrenme eğilimleri daha yüksektir. Yılda ortalama çalışılan gün sayısına bakıldığına ise, daha fazla çalışan turist rehberlerinin yaşam boyu öğrenme eğilimlerinin diğer gruplara göre yüksek olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Developments in information and technology have caused information to go into a continuous change. In order to adapt to these changes, individuals need to improve and renew themselves throughout life. Adapting to the changes experienced allows the individual to increase knowledge. Due to its nature, the individual sees learning as a constant need from the moment of birth. The life-long existence of this learning need has revealed the concept of "lifelong learning". It is thought that tourist guides, a profession that has to learn throughout life and constantly update their knowledge, should make this understanding a lifestyle.. In this way, the way can be paved for providing correct and current information to tourists at all times. Providing accurate and current information can increase the quality of the guidance service provided, as well as provide tourist satisfaction. This situation may create positive results for the tourism and economy of the country. In the study, it was aimed to determine the lifelong learning tendency and lifelong learning competencies of tourist guides. The research is important to create an awareness in tourist guides. In the study, a questionnaire was applied to 403 active tourist guides and the data obtained were supported by analysis. As a result, it has been observed that tourist guides have high lifelong learning tendencies and lifelong learning competence levels. It shows that the lifelong learning competencies of the guides are partially significant differences according to the main job of the guidance, gender, type of work card, nationality served, marital status and average number of days worked per year. In terms of lifelong learning tendencies, tourist guides with postgraduate education have higher lifelong learning tendencies than tourist guides with other education levels. The lifelong learning tendencies of the tourist guides who receive guidance education from a university are higher than those who receive their education from a certificate program. Considering the average number of days worked per year, it was found that more working tourist guides had higher lifelong learning tendencies than other groups.
