dc.description.abstractİşgücüne katılım kavramını ve işgücüne katılım kararını kuramsal, betimsel ve deneysel biçimde ele alan bu çalışmada, özelde Türkiye'de işgücüne katılımı etkileyen unsurlara göre oluşturulan denklemler ile belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. İşgücü, emek piyasalarının ve ülkelerin ekonomisinin önemli değişkenlerinden birisidir. Bu açıdan işgücünde yaşanan değişimler işgücüne katılım oranını da etkilemektedir. Türkiye gibi gelişmekte olan ülkelerin işgücüne katılım oranları gelişmiş ülkelere nazaran daha düşük seviyelerde gerçekleşmektedir. Dolayısı ile Türkiye ve benzer gelişmekte olan ülkelerde işgücüne katılım anlamında bazı aksaklıkların yaşandığı gözlenmektedir ve de ekonomi açısından sorun teşkil etmektedir. Türkiye'de işgücüne katılımın düşük olmasının en önemli nedeninin kadın istihdamından kaynaklandığı ilgili literatürde de sıkça işlenmiştir. Bu noktada kadın istihdamında yaşanan sorunlar önem kazanmakta ve bununla birlikte genel anlamda işgücü piyasasına girişlerde yaşanan sorunlar da irdelenmektedir. Çalışma da işgücüne katılımı etkileyen unsurları ve bu unsurların etkilerini ortaya koyarak Türkiye için işgücüne katılım kavramını ve unsurlarını "Nested Logit Model" yöntemi yardımıyla inceleyip, Türkiye için işgücüne katılım profilini oluşturmak amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan analizler neticesinde, eğitim, yaş, ikamet edilen bölge, medeni durum gibi unsurların işgücüne katılım kararının temel belirleyicileri olduğu tespit edilmiştir. dc.description.abstractThe concept of participation in the workforce in decision theory and the concept of participation in the labor force, which addresses the descriptive and experimental forms in this study were determined by the equations generated by the special factors affecting participation in the labor force in Turkey. Labor, is an important variable of the economy and the labor market of one country. From this point, the rate of labor force participation also affects on changes in the labor force. The labor force participation rates of developing countries, such as Turkey, compared to developed countries takes place at lower levels. Therefore, it is observed that in Turkey and other developing countries from the point of the participation in the labor force, there were some discrepancies which also poses problems for the economy. The most important reason for the low participation in the labor force in Turkey - women's employment, was the main theme in the many scientific and academic literature. At that point the problems in women's employment in general were getting on importance and also were faced in entering the labor market, discussed along with it. The study also, using the elements and methods of "Nested Logit Model" which are connected with putting forth factors affecting participation in the workforce and the effects of these elements of the concept of participation in the labor force for Turkey, intended to create a labor force participation profile for Turkey. According to the results of this analysis, factors suchs as education, age, region of residence and marital status have been found as the main determinants of labor force participation decisions.
