Animal models

Experimental animal models play an important role in the research of various retinal and choroidal vascular diseases. To date, it has been described some models for choroidal/retinal neovascularization, macular edema, retinal ischemia, and choroidal congestion. This chapter will present common and current experimental animal models for retinal and choroidal vascular diseases.
