Özet
In this study, the applicability of the focusing technique, developed for two-dimensional (2D) inversion of gravity data, was tested on magnetic data. For this purpose, MATLAB based 2D inversion algorithm was developed. The subsurface is divided into ensemble of equal sized blocks by the developed algorithm. The focusing is obtained around the source structure by minimizing the area of the intensity of magnetization. In addition, during the inversion stage, compatible results with the objective model may not be produced by controlling the fit between measured and calculated data due to the under-determined nature of the problem. Therefore, the success of the parameter variation function, which is developed as a stopping criterion, was investigated to find the required number of iteration. Applications on synthetic models showed that the focusing technique fields successful results on magnetic data as well. The other result of the study is that the calculated distribution of the intensity of magnetization provides test models when the parameter variation reaches a minima against the iteration number.
