Özet
Epilepsia partialis continua is generally epileptic seizures, resistant to treatment, consisting of clonic jerks localized to one side of the body that may last from hours to months. In the adult population, brain ischemic lesions, extensive lesions and infections should be ruled out of the etiology. The etiology of easier-to-diagnose metabolic disorders, especially hyperosmolar nonketotic hyperglycemia, should not be forgotten. This is because a significant number of nonketotic hyperglycemia cases develop epilepsia partialis continua; in fact in some patients without diabetes diagnosis, it may be the first finding of diabetes.
