dc.description.abstractUzun yıllardır ülkelerin sürdürülebilir ekonomik büyüme ve kalkınmalarını sağlayacak belirleyenler, araştırmacılar tarafından odak ve araştırma konusu olmuştur. Standart büyüme kuramlarının bu konuda ortak bir fikir birliği içinde olamamaları yeni büyüme kuramları arayışlarına neden olmuştur. Bu noktada farklı ülkelerin farklı kurumsal yapılara sahipliği ve farklı kurumsal yapıdaki ülkelerde aynı politikaların farklı sonuçları verdiğinin görülmesi, kurumların iktisat teorisindeki önemini giderek artırmıştır. Bir ekonomide kurumlar, bireyler arası etkileşime yön verirken, aynı zamanda ekonomide tasarruf, yatırım, teknoloji, üretim ve tüketim gibi kararları etkileyerek ekonomik performans üzerinde de etkili olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Kırılgan Beşli ülkeleri için 1996-2017 yılları arası dönemde kurumsal kalite değişkenlerinin ekonomik büyüme oranları üzerindeki etkisi panel veri analizi yöntemi ile araştırılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre, politik özgürlükler ve Dünya Yönetişim Endeksi şeklinde kullanılan kurumsal kalite değişkenleri, ilgili ülkelerin ilgili dönemde ekonomik büyüme oranları üzerinde istatistiki olarak anlamlı ve pozitif bir katkı sağlamaktadır. Dolayısıyla ilgili ülkelerin ekonomik büyüme performanslarını artırmaları açısından kurumsal yapılarını geliştirmeye yönelik reformlar yapmaları önemli derecede etkili olacaktır.
dc.description.abstractFor many years, the determinants to provide the countries' sustainable economic growth and development have been the focus and research subject by researchers. The fact that standard growth theories cannot have a common consensus on this issue has led to the seeking for new growth theories. At this point, the fact that different countries have different institutional structures and the same policies in different institutionalized countries give different results have increased the importance of institutions in the economic theory. On the one hand, the institutions that direct the interaction between individuals in the economy on the other hand that affect the decisions such as savings, investment, technology, production and consumption also have affected the economic performance. In this study, the effect of institutional quality variables on economic growth rate for the Fragile Five countries was investigated with panel data analysis method between the years 1996-2017. According to the findings obtained from the analysis, political freedoms and World Governance Index, which are used as the institutional quality variables have made a statistically significant and positive contribution to the economic growth rates of the countries concerned. Therefore, the countries concerned need to carry out reforms to improve their institutional structures in order to improve their economic growth performance.
