Hayvan Çiftliği ve Martı kitaplarının değerler açısından incelenmesi

Bu araştırmanın amacı, George Orwell'in Hayvan Çiftliği ile Richard Bach'ın Martı isimli eserlerini Türk dili ve edebiyatı öğretim programında yer alan kök değerler bağlamında incelemektir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan doküman analizi ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma materyallerini, Türk dili ve edebiyatı öğretim programında önerilen eserler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada incelenen eserler ise George Orwell'in Hayvan Çiftliği ve Richard Bach'ın Martı kitapları oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada öncelikle Millî Eğitim Bakanlığının Türk dili ve edebiyatı dersi öğretim programında yer alan kök değerler dikkate alınarak bir çizelge oluşturulmuştur. İlgili eserler çizelge doğrultusunda incelenmiş ve inceleme sonucunda elde edilen veriler analiz edilmiştir. Betimsel analiz yoluyla veriler analiz edilmiştir. Her bir değer için ayrı bir başlık oluşturularak ilgili değerler tespit edilmiş, değerlerin eserlerdeki frekans dağılımı tabloda gösterilmiş ve eserlerden alıntılara yer verilerek sonuç desteklenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, Hayvan Çiftliği eserinde MEB Türk dili ve edebiyatı dersi öğretim programında (2018) belirtilen on kök değerin frekans sırasıyla dostluk, vatanseverlik, öz denetim, saygı, adalet, sevgi, sabır, sorumluluk, yardımseverlik ve dürüstlük değerleri olduğu tespit edilmiştir. En az yer alan değerlerin ise yardımseverlik ve dürüstlük değerleri olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Martı eserinde ise en fazla öz denetim değerine ait iletilerin olduğu saptanmıştır. Öz denetim değerini sırasıyla saygı, dostluk, vatanseverlik, sabır, sevgi ve sorumluluk değerlerinin takip ettiği; en az yer verilen değerlerin ise adalet, yardımlaşma ve dürüstlük olduğu görülmüştür.

The purpose of this research is to examine George Orwell's Animal Farm and Richard Bach's The Seagull according to the root values in the Turkish Language and Literature Curriculum. The research was conducted using document analysis, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The universe of the search consists of the works recommended in the Turkish Language and Literature Curriculum. The sample of the research consists of George Orwell's Animal Farm and Richard Barch's The Seagull books. In this study, first of all, a table was created by taking into account the root values in the Turkish Language and Literature Curriculum of the Ministry of National Education. The relevant works were examined in accordance with the table and the data obtained as a result of the examination were recorded. A separate title was created for each value and the relevant values were tried to be determined, the frequency distribution of the values in the works was shown in the table and quotations from the work were included. As a result of the research, in Animal Farm, the following ten root values were determined in order of frequency: friendship, patriotism, self-control, respect, justice, love, patience, and responsibility. It was concluded that the least common values were helpfulness and honesty. In Seagull, it was determined that there were the most messages related to the self-control value. The self-control value was followed by respect, friendship, patriotism, patience, love, responsibility and respectively. I was observed that the least common values were justice, cooperation and honesty.
