Evaluation of the Usability of Some Geophyte Species Growing Naturally in Çanakkale Flora as Ornamental Plants by AHP and TOPSIS Method

dc.description.abstractIn the 21st century, the use of new plant species as ornamental plants has gained importance in ornamental plant cultivation. Geophytes can be defined as bulbous, rhizomatous, tuberous plants included in the ornamental plant roof concept and develop by changing their subsoil structures. This study evaluated the usability of some geophytes growing naturally in the flora of Çanakkale province as ornamental plants. Reviewing the literature, 58 geophyte species growing naturally in the flora of Çanakkale province were identified. Then, among these 58 species, the 5 most suitable species for use as ornamental plants were quantitatively determined using AHP and TOPSIS methods. As a result of the methods, the 5 most ideal species were defined as Cyclamen hederifolium Aiton, Doronicum orientale Hoffm., Sternbergia lutea (L.) Ker Gawl. ex Spreng., Anemone blanda (Schott & Kotschy) Holub, Muscari latifolium J.Kirk. The species furthest from the ideal point was determined to be Valeriana dioscoridis Sm. After the finalization of the methods, sensitivity analysis was performed to test the consistency of the ranking made in the AHP and TOPSIS methods. As a result of the sensitivity analysis, it was determined that the rankings were consistent. As a result of the study, it was recommended that the experimental determination of the suitability of these 5 plant species in different growing environments would contribute to the literature
dc.description.abstract21. yüzyılda süs bitkisi yetiştiriciliğinde yeni bitki türlerinin süs bitkisi olarak kullanılabilirliği oldukça önem kazanmıştır. Geofitler; süs bitkisi çatı kavramının içerisinde yer alan, toprak altı yapıları ile değişim geçirerek gelişim gösteren soğan, rizomlu, yumrulu bitkiler olarak tanımlanabilir. Bu çalışmada Çanakkale ili florasında doğal olarak yetişen bazı geofit bitkilerinin süs bitkisi olarak kullanılabilirliği değerlendirilmiştir. Literatür taramaları ile Çanakkale ili florasında doğal olarak yetişen 58 geofit türü belirlenmiştir. Daha sonrasında bu 58 tür içerisinde süs bitkisi olarak kullanıma en uygun 5 tür AHP ve TOPSIS yöntemleri kullanılarak kantitatif bir şekilde belirlenmiştir. Yöntemler sonucunda en ideal olarak belirlenen 5 tür sırasıyla; Cyclamen hederifolium Aiton, Doronicum orientale Hoffm., Sternbergia lutea (L.) Ker Gawl. ex Spreng., Anemone blanda (Schott & Kotschy) Holub, Muscari latifolium J.Kirk olarak belirlenmiştir. İdeal noktaya en uzak türün Valeriana dioscoridis Sm. olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yöntemlerin sonuçlandırılmasından sonra AHP ve TOPSIS yönteminde yapılan sıralamanın tutarlılığının test edilmesi amacıyla duyarlılık analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Duyarlılık analizi sonucunda yapılan sıralamaların tutarlı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın nihai sonucunda ise belirlenen bu 5 bitki türünün farklı yetiştirme ortamlarında deneysel olarak da uygunluğunun belirlenmesinin literatüre katkı sağlayacağı tavsiye edilmiştir.
