Özet
This study basically aims at evaluating the effectiveness of primary school teachers in realizing democratic acquisition. The sample consists of 300 primary school teachers who work in 15 primary schools in Erzurum city center. A questionnaire developed by the researcher himself was used as the measurement instrument. The questionnaire has 25 items measuring the activities used by primary school teachers to realize democratic acquisition. The data were analyzed using frequency tables, percentage calculations, t test and variance (F) method. The data reveal that the primary school teachers use different activities at different rates and that, on the other hand, these activities used by the primary school teachers don't differ in terms of gender and the classes they teach but differ in terms of their educational status and length of service.
