Balıkçılık teknolojisi mezunlarının memnuniyet ve istihdamaraştırması: ÇOMÜ Guby örneği

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Çanakkale On Sekiz Mart Üniversitesi Gökçeada Uygulamalı Bilimler Yüksekokulu Balıkçılık Teknolojisi bölümü mezunlarının istihdam, kariyer ve memnuniyet durumlarının anket yardımıyla incelenmesidir. Çalışmada, 2014 ile 2018 yılları arasında mezun olan öğrencilere; yaş aralıkları, cinsiyetleri, kendi istekleri ile bölümü seçip seçmedikleri, memnuniyet dereceleri, herhangi bir işte çalışıp çalışmadıkları, iş alanlarının mezun oldukları bölümle ilgili olup olmamasındaki düşünceleri ve bölümü tavsiye edip etmediklerine dair sorular bir anket ile yöneltilmiştir. Anket formunda bulunan sorular, gerekli literatür taraması yapılarak hazırlanmıştır. Anket formları yüz yüze yapılmış veya sosyal medya (Facebook, Twitter, İnstagram ve WhatsApp.) araçları ile ulaştırılmıştır. Çalışmamız 92 kişinin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler uygun istatistik analizler ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna göre, bölüme isteyerek gelen öğrencilerin oranın (%34,8) düşük olduğu bulunmuştur. Bununla birlikte, katılımcıların büyük çoğunluğunun (%71,7) iş bulduğu, ancak mezun olduğu alanda çalışma istekleri oranının (%28,8) yetersiz kaldığı tespit edilmiştir. Mezun olduğu bölümden memnun olan katılımcıların oranının (%33,7) düşük olduğu ve bunun bir etkisi olarak bölümü tavsiye eden (%29,3) katılımcı oranının düşük olduğu sonucu elde edilmiştir.

The aim of this study was to examine the employment, career and satisfaction of the graduates of the Department of Fisheries Technology at the Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences at the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (COMU). Students who graduated between the years of 2014 and 2018: their age and gender, whether they selected the department with a willingness, their degree of satisfaction with the graduating department, whether they worked in any job, whether their job fields are related to the department they graduated from, and whether they suggested the department or not. The questions in the questionnaire were prepared by appropriate literature review. Questionnaires were carried out face to face or via social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp.). Our study was conducted with the participation of 92 individuals. The data obtained were evaluated by appropriate statistical analysis. According to the results of the study, it was found that the rate of students who came to the department willingly (34.8%) was low. However, most of the participants (71.7%) found a job, but the proportion of working in a profession in the field of graduation (28.8%) was insufficient. It was concluded that the percentage of participants who were satisfied with the department they graduated from was low (33.7%), and, as an effect, the proportion of participants recommending the department (29.3%) was low.
