dc.description.abstractTransportation routes are one of the important elements that make up the landscape in rural and urban areas. Highways are the most effective engineering structures in people's efforts to make their lives suitable. Highways, which form a network system in the world, are elements integrated with the landscape. The intersections are the points where the traffic flow is the most intense on highways. When they are not designed properly in urban and rural areas, they slow down the traffic and cause accidents and chaos. For this reason, the examination of intersections in terms of safety and capacity prepares the ground for making the necessary arrangements. Streets, boulevards, median strips and intersections, which are included in the passive green areas in the city, have an important place in the urban identity. Planting studies in these areas make significant contributions to the urban landscape. With this study, the current situation of the intersection in front of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University campus was examined. In this study, the arrangements made on the intersections and the positive and negative situations of the intersection in the city have been evaluated. Suggestions have been made to increase current performance in adverse situations
dc.description.abstractKırsal ve kentsel alanlarda peyzajı oluşturan önemli elemanlardan biri ulaşım güzergahlarıdır. İnsanların yaşamlarını uygun hale getirmek için gösterdiği çaba içinde en çok etkili mühendislik yapıları karayollarıdır. Dünya üzerinde bir ağ sistemi oluşturan karayolları, peyzaj ile bütünleşen elemanlardır. Karayollarında trafik akışının en yoğun olduğu noktalar kavşaklardır. Kent içi ve kırsal alanlarda doğru tasarlanmadıkları zaman trafiği yavaşlatmakta, kazalara ve karmaşaya neden olmaktadırlar. Bu nedenle kavşakların güvenlik ve kapasite yönünden incelenmesi gerekli düzenlemelerin yapılması için zemin hazırlamaktadır. Kent içinde bulunan pasif yeşil alanlar içerisine dahil olan cadde, bulvar, refüj ve kavşaklar kent kimliğinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu alanlarda yapılan bitkilendirme çalışmaları kent peyzajına önemli katkılar sunmaktadır. Bu çalışma ile Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi önündeki kavşağın mevcut durumu incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, bugüne kadar kavşak üzerinde yapılan düzenlemeler ve kavşağın kent içindeki olumlu, olumsuz durumları değerlendirilmiştir. Olumsuz olan durumlarda mevcut performansı arttırmaya yönelik öneriler getirilmiştir.
