dc.description.abstractThis research was carried out with the aim of improving the surface sterilization optimization technique in seeds which in vivo and in vitro growth of Şalak apricot cultivar. For seed sterilization, the effects of 0%, 10%, 15%, 20% NaOCl and 10, 15, 20 minutes exposure times were investigated. Seeds were kept in 70% ethanol for 40 seconds for pre-sterilization. The results of the study were evaluated as the rates of germinated seed (%) and contaminated seed (%). It was concluded that 20% NaOCl+15 minutes application for seed sterilization would be sufficient for surface sterilization with 12% contamination.
