| dc.description.abstract | Japonya, bir Uzak Doğu ülkesidir ve onun modernleşme süreci XIX. yüzyılda başlamıştır. Bu tez, Japonya'nın hem modernleşmesini hem de bu modernizmin gelişmesi içerisinde Fransa'nın kültürel yaşamına getirdiği etkiler ve bu etkilerin Fransız resmi üzerindeki hem formel hem de içerik açısından kazandığı sanatsal gelişmeleri konu almaktadır. Özellikle bu gelişmeler içerisinde genel çerçevede İzlenimci resimde Japonizm etkileri ve bu etkilerin Hollandalı ressam Vincent van Gogh'un -Fransa'da ürettiği Japon estamplarından esinli etkilerinin- sanatında nasıl bir yenilik kazandırdığı irdelenmiş oldu. Japon ustalarının ve özellikle Hiroshige'nin Yağmur adlı yapıtının kopyalarını yapan Van Gogh'un tablolarında ve çizimlerinde Paris'in Japonizm modasının kültürel etkileri görülmektedir. Aslında bu eserler bir çeşit geçiş resimleri olarak onun sanatının nasıl geliştiği konusunda önemli kilometre taşları olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Sonuç olarak van Gogh'un japon estamplarından esinlendiği yapıtlarının ışığında diyebiliriz ki sömürgecilik/kolonyalizm hareketlerinin hedefledikleri ülke ve coğrafyalar üzerinde mülkiyet ve denetim altına alma süreçleri gibi politik etkiler, Batılı sanatçıların yapıtlarında da bir belirleyicilik taşımaktadır. Bu yapıtlar ister edebi isterse görsel sanatları içermiş olsunlar, her koşulda kültürün emperyal düzenin parçası olduğu sonucuna varmamıza dayanak sağlamaktadırlar. Dolayısıyla van Gogh'un sanatı üzerinden kültür ve içerdiği estetik biçimlerin tarihsel deneyimden türemekte oldukları bulgulanmış oldu. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Japan is a Far East country and its modernization process began in the XIX. century began. This thesis deals with both the modernization of Japan and the effects it brought to the cultural life of France in the development of this modernism, and the artistic developments that these influences gained on French painting, both in terms of formal and content. In particular, within these developments, the effects of Japonisme in Impressionist painting and how these effects brought innovation to the art of Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh -inspired by the Japanese estamps he produced in France- were examined. The cultural influences of the Japanese fashion of Paris can be seen in the paintings and drawings of Van Gogh, who made copies of Japanese masters and especially Hiroshige's Rain. In fact, these works, as a kind of transitional paintings, appear as important milestones in how his art developed. In conclusion, in the light of Van Gogh's works inspired by Japanese estamps, we can say that the political effects of colonialism/colonialism movements, such as the processes of ownership and control over the countries and geographies they target, also have a decisive role in the works of Western artists. Whether these works included the literary or visual arts, they provide grounds for concluding that culture is, in any case, part of the imperial order. Therefore, it has been found that culture and the aesthetic forms it contains are derived from historical experience through van Gogh's art. | |
