dc.description.abstractBugün ülkemizde de mühendislik eğitiminden tıp eğitimine, öğretmenlik eğitiminden teknolojik eğitime kadar tüm branşlarda çevre içerikli dersler zorunlu hale getirilmiştir. Eğitim sürecinde, öğrenmeyi en iyi yerine getiren yöntem yaparak yaşayarak öğrenmedir. GIS öğretimi bu konuda en iyi bir araçtır. Çünkü GIS öğretiminde kullanılan materyal ve metodlar güncel yazılım ve teknolojik gelişmelerin takip edilmesini de gerektirir. Araştırmalarda elde edilen bulguları analiz ederek ortaya çıkacak sonuçlara göre bir takım kararların doğru olarak verilebilmesi için GIS fonksiyonlarının ve kullanımının öğretilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu tür bir veri tabanı ve işletim sisteminin Coğrafya eğitiminde etkin bir şekilde yer alması iş bulma, üretimde nitelikli ve çağın gerekliliğine uygun edinimleri kazanmış bireylerin ortaya çıkarılmasında katkı sağlayacaktır. Sonuç olarak; Coğrafya eğitimi yürütülen birçok öğrenim programında GIS eğitimi verilmesi zaman ve mükemmeliyet için bir gerekliliktir [EN] Today in our country, the lessons related to the environment have been made compulsory in all branches such as engineering, teacher education and technology education. “Learning by doing” is the best method that helps learning in the education process. GIS teaching is the best tool in this respect because the methods and materials used in GIS teaching requires following up-to-date software and technological developments. According to the results that will arise after analysing the available findings in the research, in order to give right decisions GIS functions and usage should be taught. Since such a data base and operation system takes place effectively in the geography education, finding jobs will help to introduce individuals who are qualified and have the abilities that the day requires. Eventually, it is necessary to have GIS education in view of time and perfection in many education programs that include geography
