dc.description.abstractToday, climate change and excessive use of natural resources, as well as the possibility of businesses harming the environment while carrying out their activities, have further increased the importance of the concept of sustainability. The reason for this is the need to take precautions today in order not to jeopardize the ability of future generations to meet their needs with sustainability. At this point, businesses are expected to work in a way that causes the least harm to the environment during their activities. This study aims to reveal what businesses in industrial zones do to ensure sustainability. The study was conducted using the qualitative research method. Brisa, Kordsa and Kentsa, located in Kocaeli province, which is a densely populated industrial zone, were determined as the sample of the study. The data was obtained from the information on the websites of the three businesses in question and subjected to content analysis. As a result of the research, it was seen that the green management indicators of the businesses were certificates, products, projects and collaborations, environmental awareness activities, news, blog posts, green building, sustainability reports, chairman and CEO message, strategies and priorities. In addition, another result obtained was that these three businesses included green management in their production, purchasing and marketing functions
dc.description.abstractGünümüzde iklim değişikliği ve doğal kaynakların aşırı kullanımının yanı sıra işletmelerin faaliyetlerini yürütürken çevreye zarar verme ihtimalleri sürdürülebilirlik kavramının önemini daha da artırmıştır. Bunun nedeni ise sürdürülebilirlik ile gelecek nesillerin ihtiyaçlarını karşılama yeteneğini tehlikeye atmamak için bugünden önlem alma gerekliliğidir. Bu noktada, işletmelerin faaliyetleri esnasında çevreye en az zarar verecek şekilde çalışmaları beklenmektedir. Bu çalışma ile sanayi bölgelerindeki işletmelerin sürdürülebilirliği sağlamak için neler yaptığını ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemi ile yürütülmüştür. Yoğun sanayi bölgesi olan Kocaeli ilinde yer alan Brisa, Kordsa ve Kentsa araştırmanın örneklemi olarak belirlenmiştir. Veriler bahse konu üç işletmenin internet sitesinde yer alan bilgilerden elde edilerek içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda işletmelerin yeşil yönetim göstergelerinin sertifikalar, ürünler, proje ve işbirlikleri, çevresel duyarlılık faaliyetleri, haberler, blog yazıları, yeşil bina, sürdürülebilirlik raporları, yönetim kurulu başkanı ve CEO mesajı, stratejiler ve öncelikler olduğu görülmüştür. Bununla birlikte bu üç işletmenin üretim, satın alma ve pazarlama fonksiyonlarına yeşil yönetimi dahil ettikleri de elde edilen diğer bir sonuçtur.
