Sanayileşme ve kentleşmenin ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisi: BRIC-T ülkeleri için panel veri analizi

Sanayileşme ve kentleşme kavramlarının zaman içerisinde gelişim göstermesi ülkelerde değişim ve dönüşüm süreçlerini beraberinde getirmektedir. Hızlı kentsel büyüme kavramının GSYİH'nın artmasına neden olması ve sıklıkla kentleşmenin sanayileşme göstergelerine bağlı olarak gerçekleşebileceği düşünceleri doğrultusunda, çalışmada sanayileşme ve kentleşme kavramlarının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisi belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada 1990-2017 yılları arasında sanayileşme ve kentleşme kavramlarının BRIC-T ülkelerindeki ekonomik büyüme üzerinde olan etkisi kullanılan veriler ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz edilen verilere göre sanayileşmenin BRIC-T ülkeleri için istatistiki olarak anlamlı olduğu ve sanayileşmenin tüm ülkeler için ekonomik büyümeyi artırıcı yönde olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Kentleşmenin ise Hindistan için ekonomik büyüme üzerinde anlamlı olmadığı, Brezilya ve Rusya için ekonomik büyümeyi artırıcı yönde; Çin ve Türkiye için ekonomik büyümeyi azaltıcı yönde olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The fact that the concepts of industrialization and urbanization have advanced over time has led to change and transformation processes in countries. In this study, it is aimed to determine the effects of the concepts of industrialization and urbanization on the economic growth in line with the notions expressing that rapid urban growth leads to an increase in GDP and that urbanization could frequently occur depending on the indicators of industrialization. The effects of industrialization and urbanization on economic growth in BRIC-T countries between 1990 and 2017 are analyzed with the data used in the Study. According to the data analyzed, it is determined that industrialization is statistically significant for BRIC-T countries and that industrialization is in the direction of increasing economic growth for all countries. On the other hand, it is concluded that urbanization is not significant on economic growth in India, but it has tendency to increase economic growth in Brazil and Russia and that the urbanization is has tendency to reduce economic growth in China and Turkey.
