Özet

Anger is a universal emotion that is accompanied by physiological and biological changes that encourage aggression, which exist in every human being but whose expression and control vary from person to person. The onset of disruptive behavior in childhood is one of the most frequent parental challenges in clinics worldwide. Children with anger problems need to be dealt with at an early stage, as their sense of curiosity and learning are inhibited, and unhealthy and risky behaviors are observed, leading to personality disorders, violence, and crime. Many changes and developments at school age, such as hormonal changes, uncertainties in future life, internal conflicts, role confusion, mood confusion, and adjustment problems, make it difficult for the child to cope with anger. When the child cannot cope with anger, their relationships with others deteriorate, and life becomes increasingly difficult, leading to a cascade problems for both the child and their parents. Uncontrolled anger can result in the child harming themselves, their environment, or others in various ways. Without proper intervention, these issues can escalate, affecting the child's emotional well-being and overall development. Early support and teaching healthy anger management techniques are essential to prevent such negative outcomes. Thus, the child establishes strong and healthy relationships, and the child's violent and criminal behaviors are prevented. For this purpose, health professionals should learn about the situations that reveal anger in school-age children, the factors affecting it, anger expressions and behaviors, and the methods used in coping with anger. Thus, health professionals can help manage and reduce anger in school-age children. This proactive approach not only supports the emotional well-being of the child but also contributes to the overall mental health of society, especially during the school-age period when children first engage with social environments and begin to form long-lasting emotional patterns. © 2025 Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
