Özet
The diseases that are caused due to consumption of water products are serious problems all around the world. The education and knowledge about hygiene is the most important factor to avoid these health problems. According to that, 89 people, who work on these products directly in Canakkale, were questioned to determine their awareness about sanitation. As a result of this poll, 43.82 % of the people said that they had passed through a health control before being accepted to their jobs. 61.54 % of these controlled staffs gave samples of their throat and feces for being tested. On the other hand, rest of the people gave sample of only one of them. Moreover, it is decided that only 35.96 % of the workers know the infection ways of microorganisms. In generally, their appearances are satisfactory in terms of hands, clothes and hairs. In addition to that, all employees answered questions about hygiene of themselves and working place correctly. Consequently, it is concluded that the people, who are working on food products at city center of Canakkale, do not have enough knowledge about sanitation, which is very important on human health, and it is established that the rules about cleanliness are not put into practice efficiently.
