THE SECOND CENTURY OF CONTEMPORARY HEALTH SERVICES IN THE CENTENNIAL ANNIVERSARY OF THE REPUBLIC

The history of modern healthcare dates back several centuries. The historical roots of the Turkish healthcare system come from the Ottoman Empire. Since the 19th century, the health system has been reformed in line with the requirements of the age. Especially in the post-Republic period, the health system has experienced changes in line with needs and political conditions. This article summarizes the story of modern health services with a 200-year history on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey

Modern sağlık hizmetlerinin geçmişi birkaç yüzyıla dayanmaktadır. Türk sağlık sisteminin tarihi kökenleri Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’ndan gelmektedir. 19.yüzyıldan itibaren sağlık sistemi çağının gerekleri doğrultusunda reforme edilmektedir. Özellikle Cumhuriyet sonrası dönemde sağlık sistemi ihtiyaçlar ve siyasi koşullar doğrultusunda değişimler yaşamıştır. Bu makale Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin 100. yılında 200 yıllık tarihi olan modern sağlık hizmetlerinin öyküsünü özetlemektedir.
