Ortaokul fen bilimleri derslerinin 9. sınıf fen derslerinin öğrenilmesine katkısının öğrenci görüşlerine göre incelenmesi

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul fen bilimleri derslerinin lise 9. sınıf fen derslerinin yani fizik, kimya, biyoloji derslerinin öğrenilmesine katkısını incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu 57 (32 erkek, 25 kız) 10. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Nitel veriler için örneklem içerisinden belirlenen altı öğrenciyle görüşme yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı "Fen Bilimleri Başarı Sınavı" ve "Fen Bilimleri Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Formu"dur. Nicel veriler betimsel istatistik, korelasyon, t-test, regresyon ve kovaryans analizi yöntemleriyle, nitel veriler ise içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Öğrenciler, ortaokul fen bilimleri derslerinin 9. sınıf fizik, kimya, biyoloji derslerinin öğrenilmesine katkı sağlamadığını düşünse de araştırma bulguları ortaokul fen bilimleri derslerinin yeterli katkıyı sağladığını ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin TEOG, 9. sınıf not ortalamaları ve fen bilimleri puanlarında cinsiyetler arası anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıştır.

The aim of this research is to examine the contribution of secondary school science lessons to the high school 9th grade science lessons such as physics, chemistry and biology. The sample group of the research consists 10th grade including 57 students (32 boys, 25 girls). Six students, determined from the sample group, were interviewed for a qualitative data. "Science Achievement Exam" and "Science Semi-Structured Interview Form" are the collection tools. Quantitative data were analysed with descriptive statistics, correlation, t-test, regression and covariance analysis and qualitative data were analysed with document analysis method. Although the students think that secondary school science subjects does not contribute to the 9th grade physics, chemistry and biology lessons; Research findings reveal that secondary school subjects are sufficient. In addition, no significant difference was found between students' TEOG science scores and 9th grade point averages between the genders.
