Investigation of Vibration and Noise Exposures in a Lead Mine

This study was carried out in 2021 and 2023 to determine the suitability of occupa-tional health and safety features of temperature and vibration, which are physical risk factors, in a lead mine in the Marmara Region. In the lead mine, noise, indoor noise, and vibration measurements were conducted in Gallery A. The obtained results were compared with relevant standards and analyzed using various tables and graphs. Personal noise measurement results decreased proportionally in 2023 compared to 2021, but were operated above the standards. Indoor noise level also increased from 2021 to 2023 and exceeded the standards in 2023. The resolution of vibration meas-urement results appeared in 2023 compared to 2021. Reducing the standards of both noise and rating values is very important to minimize serious health and safety risks for employees, and it is possible to take the necessary precautions with the necessary controls, training, changes in working methods, appropriate protective equipment and new technologies

Bu çalışma Marmara Bölgesi’nde bir kurşun madeninde fiziksel risk etmenlerinden olan gürültü ve titreşimin iş sağlığı ve güvenliği yönünden uygunluğunu belirlemek amacıyla 2021 ve 2023 yıllarında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kurşun madeninde, A Galeri-si’nde gürültü, iç ortam gürültü ölçümleri ve titreşim ölçümleri alınmış, elde edilen sonuçlar ilgili standartlar ile karşılaştırılmış ve çeşitli tablo ve grafikler yardımı ile yorumlanmıştır. Kişisel gürültü ölçüm sonuçları 2023 yılında 2021 yılana göre oransal olarak azalmış fakat standartların üzerinde olduğu saptanmıştır. İç ortam gürültü düzeyi de 2021’den 2023’e artış göstermiş ve 2023 yılında standartların üze-rine çıkmıştır. Titreşim ölçüm sonuçları incelendiğinde 2021 yılına göre 2023 yılında artış olduğu görülmüştür. Hem gürültü hem de titreşim değerlerini standartların altına düşürülmesi çalışanlarda ciddi sağlık ve güvenlik risklerini en aza indirmek için çok önemli olup, gerekli kontroller, eğitimler, çalışma yöntem değişimleri, uygun koru-yucu donanımlar ve yeni teçhizatlar ile gerekli önlemleri almak mümkündür.
