KORONAVİRÜS (COVİD-19) SÜRECİNDE UZAKTAN EĞİTİMİN TURİZM LİSANS ÖĞRENCİLERİ TARAFINDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Bu çalışmada Covid-19 sürecinin internet tabanlı uzaktan eğitimi zorunlu kılması sebebiyle bu eğitim yöntemi hakkında turizm öğrencilerinin görüşlerinin tespit edilmesi ve buradan hareketle internet tabanlı uzaktan eğitim sisteminin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın verileri, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi, Turizm Fakültesi lisans eğitimi bahar dönemi uzaktan eğitim ders süreci olan 21 Mart-24 Nisan 2020 içerisindeki süreçte toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesinin kısa sürede hayata geçirdiği uzaktan eğitim ders sistemini turizm lisans öğrencilerinin büyük çoğunluğunun (yaklaşık %86’sının) takip edebildiği görülmüştür. Özellikle erkek öğrencilerin uzaktan eğitim derslerini daha etkili buldukları ve memnuniyetlerinin daha fazla olduğu dikkat çekmektedir. Bununla birlikte araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin uzaktan eğitim ders memnuniyetleri üzerinde verilen destek hizmetlerinin, öğrenme koşullarının, uzaktan eğitimde değerlendirme sisteminin, program etkililiğinin ve bu yeni sistem için öğrencilerin kişisel uygunluklarının önemli belirleyiciler olduğu görülmektedir. Çalışma kapsamında üniversitelere ve çeşitli kamu ve özel paydaşlarına birtakım önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Özellikle Yüksek Öğretim Kurumuna (YÖK), yerel internet tabanlı uzaktan eğitim sisteminin alt yapısını oluşturması önerilmektedir

In this study, since the Covid-19 process obliges internet-based distance education, it is aimed to determine the opinions of tourism students about this education method and to evaluate the internet-based distance education system. In this context, the data of the study were collected in the period of 21 March-24 April 2020, which is the undergraduate spring semester course of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Tourism Faculty. According to the results of the research, it has been observed that the majority of the tourism undergraduate students (approximately 86%) of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University can follow the distance education course system. It is noteworthy that especially male students find distance-learning lessons more effective and have more satisfaction. In addition, it is seen that the support services, learning conditions, evaluation system in distance education, the effectiveness of the program, and the personal suitability of students to this new system are important determinants of the distance education course satisfaction of the students participating in the research. Within the scope of the study, some suggestions were made to universities and various public and private stakeholders. In particular, it is recommended to the Higher Education Institution (YÖK) to form the infrastructure of the local internet-based distance education system
