dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to determine the difficult subjects for students in the sciences course. For this purpose, questionnaires developed by the researchers were applied to sciences teachers and to students of the science course. Questionnaire consists of two parts. The first part of questionnaire applied to teachers consists of questions regarding to personal details and professional experiences. In the scope of sciences course, questions related to units in 5th, 6th and 7th grade take place in the second part of this questionnaire. 378 eighth grade students who are studying at five middle school in the province center of the Çanakkale, and seven science teachers who are work in these schools participated in the study. Beside, an interview was held with teachers who were applied of questionnaire towards why students are having difficulty in the units and how to overcome these challenges. According to the data obtained from seven teachers in the end of the application, it was determined that units perceived as difficult by students were physics units and most subtle unit was the "Force and Motion" unit in the seventh grade. It is devoted to recommendations based on the result at the end of the study.en_US
dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı, öğrencilerin fen bilimleri dersinde zorlandıkları konuları belirlemektir. Bu amaç için fen bilimleri dersini alan öğrencilere ve fen bilimleri öğretmenlerine araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen anketler uygulanmıştır. Anket iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Öğretmenlere uygulanan anketin ilk bölümünde kişisel bilgiler ve mesleki deneyim ile ilgili sorulara yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümünde ise fen bilimleri dersi kapsamında 5. 6.ve 7.sınıf ünitelerinde yer alan ünitelerle ilgili sorular bulunmaktadır. Çalışmanın örneklemini Çanakkale il merkezinde beş ortaokulda öğrenim görmekte olan 378 sekizinci sınıf öğrencisi ve yine bu okullarda görev yapmakta olan yedi fen bilimleri öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Ayrıca anketin uygulandığı fen bilimleri öğretmenleri ile ünitelerde öğrencilerin neden zorluk yaşadıkları ve bu zorlukların nasıl giderilmesi gerektiğine yönelik görüşme yapılmıştır. Yedi öğretmenden uygulamalar sonucu elde edilen verilere göre zor olarak algılanan ünitelerin fizik üniteleri olduğu ve en zor algılanan ünite olarak 7.sınıf “Kuvvet ve Hareket” ünitesi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda sonuçlara dayalı önerilere yer verilmiştir.en_US
