Özet
Objective: Anger and coping strategies is less studied with respect to anxiety in chronic heart failure. The aim of the study is to examine anxiety, anger and coping strategies in patients with chronic heart failure. Method: This study was conducted with 96 patients with chronic heart failure admitted to the Cardiology Polyclinic of Ege University Hospital. Socio-Demographic and Clinical Information Form, Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Spielberger's State-Trait Anger Expression In?ventory (SSTAEI) and The Coping Strategy Indicator (CSI) were applied. In the analysis of data, Student's t-test, Kruskal Wallis test and Pearson Correlation analysis were used. Findings: A positive correlation (p=0.000, r=0.560) was determined between BAI and SSTAEI anger-out subscale (p=0.000, r=0.495), SSTAEI anger-in subscale (p=0.001, r=0.458), SSTAEI trait anger (p=0.001, r=0.659) scores of patients with chronic heart failure. A moderate negative correlation (p=0.000, r=0.560) was determined between CSI problem solving subscale and SSTAEI anger-out subscale (p=0.000, r=-0.407), SSTAEI angerin subscale (p=0.001, r=-0.491) and a moderate pozitive correlation (p=0.000, r=0.560) was determined between CSI avoidance subscale and SSTAEI anger-state subscale (p=0.05, r=0.297) scores of patients with chronic heart failure Discussion and Conclusion: According to the results of the study, patients with higher levels of anxiety, trait anger, anger suppression of inward and outward levels of reflection increases. Inward and outward anger rsuppression in patients with higher levels of reflection has been reduced by the use of problem-solving strategy. Avoidance strategy increases patients' in the continuous anger.DinleyinFonetik olarak okuyun.
