Özet
Regionalism policy that is shaped around the neo-liberal approach and governance conception brought about the adoption of inductive methods by changing the deductive nature of regional development policy process, which came up with the 1929 economic crisis. The support of regional policies through the European Union's (EU) structural funds has accelerated the establishment of Regional Development Agencies (RDA) that were created by the aim of eliminating the inter-regional or intra-regional imbalances. With the EU harmonization process, Turkey also revised the implemented regional policies since planned period and the formation of RDAs became a current issue. In this study, the establishment process of RDAs in Turkey will be discussed by considering the developments in the world.
