| dc.description.abstract | Bozcaada’nın yüzyıllardır süregelen tarihi geçmişi, ada genelinde birçok tarihi yapının ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Adanın kendine özgü değerlerini anlamak, bir bakıma onun tarihi yapılarının özeliklerini anlamaktan geçmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Bozcaada tarihi yapılarından birisi olan Bozcaada Kimisis Teodoku Rum Ortodoks Kilisesi’nin özeliklerini tarihsel süreç içerisinde ve mimarlık bağlamında araştırmak, elde edilen bulguları aynı dönemde yapılmış diğer kiliselerin özelikleriyle karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirmektir. Bu bağlamda, kilise yapısı mekânsal, mimari, liturjik öğeleri ve ek yapıları incelenmiş ve İstanbul’da ve Ege Bölgesinde bulunan, dönemin Rum Ortodoks Kiliseleriyle karşılaştırılmıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The Bozcaada’s past, laden with centuries of human history, has led to the emergence of numerous historic structures scattered across the island. Consequently, a thorough understanding of the unique values of this island cannot be possible without comprehending the specific features of its historical structures. The objective of this research, is to study the features of Bozcaada Kimisis Teodoku Greek Orthodox Church, one of the historical buildings of the island, with an architectural and historical perspective and to evaluate this structure by comparing and contrasting the findings with features of other churches that belong to the same historical period. In order to fulfil this objective, the structure of the church has been studied with respect to its spatial and architectural properties, its liturgical components and annexes, and compared with other coetaneous Greek Orthodox churches located in the Aegean Region and Istanbul. | en_US |
