    Amatör Balıkçılık: Çanakkale İli Örneği

    In this study, the socio-demographic status of the amateur fishermen, whose numbers are increasing rapidly in our country, and their knowledge levels about amateur fishing in Çanakkale were determined. A survey consisting of 63 questions was conducted in Çanakkale during the period FebruaryMay 2022. The survey data answered by 107 randomly selected amateur fishermen were analyzed with the Statistics Program for Social Sciences 24.0. The data in this study were compared to those of other related studies conducted in different regions of our country. Findings indicated that 85% of the participants were male and 69.2% were married and 57.9% of the participants were between the ages of 26-35. In addition, 47.7% of the participants were high school graduates and 88.8% were actively working. The ratio of participants who did not have an amateur fisherman's license was 77.6%. In this study, it was determined that participants with an amateur fisherman's license who perform fishing activity only in saltwater and go fishing everyday had higher levels of knowledge and awareness. Although the participants had sufficient knowledge on fishing and the environment, they had limited knowledge on safety issues on fishing boats.

    Çanakkale İlinde Hizmet Veren Balıkçı Teknelerinde İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği

    In this study, the attitudes of fishermen in Çanakkale region towards occupational health and safety measures have been investigated. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of 26 questions was conducted in June 2021 with fishermen working in fishing boats registered to Çanakkale Central Port Authority. Data obtained from responses of 103 randomly selected fishermen indicated that 99 participants (96.1%) were male and 63 (61.2%) were married. Fifty-two of the participants (50.5%) were between the ages of 25-35. Only 26 (25.2 %) of the participants received higher education. 55 (53.4%) of the participants had 1-5 years of professional experience. Fishermen between the ages of 19-24, with an associate degree and less than 1 year of professional experience gave more positive answers regarding the occupational health and safety efforts in fishing activities compared to those expressed by the personnel in other groups. There was a significant difference between the occupational health and safety perception and age and professional experience variables in fishing activities. The data obtained indicated insufficient efforts on fishing activities by the authorized public organizations and institutions, docking problems of fishing boats, lack of OHS service in fishing activities. Involvement of fishermen in the planning of fisheries related programs and informing employers about the necessity of mandatory OHS services provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security may solve identified problems.

    Electrochemical, Spectroelectrochemical, and Electrocatalytic Dioxygen Reducing Properties of Peripheral Tetra-2,6-dimethoxyphenoxy Substituted Phthalocyanines

    By using of peripherally tetrakis-2,6-dimethoxyphenoxy substituted Co(II), Fe(III), and Mn(III) phthalocyanines was observed to extend the redox richness of the phthalocyanine ring with the addition of reversible metal-based electron transfer couples to the phthalocyanine ring-based electron transfer processes in solution. The emergence of highly steady anionic and cationic redox species with clear spectral and colour changes both in solution and in the film during in situ spectroelectrochemical and in situ electrocolorimetric measurements pointed out their applicability as electrochromic materials. Furthermore, the phthalocyanine complexes demonstrated strong interaction with dioxygen and thus, high electrocatalytic enforcement for its reduction.

    Gıda Sektöründe Çalışanların Salgın Hastalık Farkındalıkları: Çanakkale İli Örneği

    Dinamik ve sürekli büyüyen gıda sektörü personellerinin bireysel hijyen davranışları, gıda güvenliğinin yanı sıra bulaşıcı hastalıkların (özellikle de koronavirüs hastalığı) salgın boyutuna geçmesinde önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, salgın sırasında, gıda sektörü personellerinin sağlık ve gıda güvenliği hakkında bilgi ve tutumları ayrıca bu salgının farkındalığına etki eden hijyen kriterleri incelenmiştir. Çanakkale ilinde gıda sektörü çalışanları ile 01.11.2022–01.12.2022 tarihleri arasında 42 ifadeyi içeren anket çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Olasılıksız örnekleme ile seçilen 124 personelin anket verileri, literatürde konuyla ilgili önceki çalışmalarla karşılaştırılmıştır. Katılımcıların %31,5'i 26-35 yaş aralığındadır. Katılımcıların %48,4'ü lise düzeyinde eğitim seviyesine sahiptir. Katılımcıların %56,5’i sigara kullanmamaktadır. Katılımcıların %73,4’ü hijyen eğitimi almamış, %72,6’sının ise çocuğu yoktur. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, medeni durum, yaş, eğitim düzeyi, hijyen eğitimi alma ve çocuğu olma değişkenlerinin salgın hastalık farkındalığı ve bireysel hijyen davranışı üzerinde olumlu yönde etkisi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sağlık ve gıda güvenliği eğitimi ile gıda sektörü personellerinin hijyen tutum ve davranışı için kendi beyanlarına dayalı uygulamalarını iyileştirmek, gıda sektörünün durumunu iyileştirebilir ve toplum sağlığı için bulaşıcı salgın hastalıkları en aza indirebilir. Bu nedenle, politika yapıcıların gıda sektörü işveren ve personelleri için sürekli gıda güvenliği ve bireysel hijyen eğitimi için çevrimiçi bir sistem tasarlamalarına acil bir ihtiyaç vardır.

    Investigation and Comparison of Some Laboratories in Terms of Occupational Health and Safety by ELMERI Observation Method

    Laboratories are classified as dangerous workplaces and contain various risk factors that may cause work accidents. For this reason, studies to reduce the dangers should be conducted in the laboratory by complying with the corrective and preventive activities specified in the relevant regulation. In this study, a survey was conducted for three laboratories in three different cities using the checklist of the The Ministry of Labor and Social Security. The survey data were applied with the ELMERI observation method and the safety indexes of the laboratories were created. According to the data obtained from the ELMERI safety index, the necessary measures to be taken in the laboratories were determined and recommendations were made. According to this research, average index values of laboratories according to categories; training and information 96%, diseases and accidents 94%, biological factors 86%, physical factors 82%, ergonomics 81%, machinery and hand tools 78%, personal protective equipment 75%, waste management 72%, electricity 71%, chemical factors 69%, fire-explosion and emergencies 67%, psychosocial factors 67%, storage 64% and general workplace layout 62%. Although there are occupational safety evaluation studies in the literature using the checklists published by the relevant ministry, there is almost no study to create safety indexes for workplaces by combining the relevant lists with the ELMERI observation method. It is suggested that this study will shed light on and form a source for future studies on laboratory safety and ELMERI observation method, especially in the laboratories where research was conducted.

    Investigation the Services Provided to Disabled in Çanakkale

    Every healthy person is a disabled candidate, which is why disabled people have an important place in our society and worldwide. However, our citizens with disabilities face many problems in society every day. In this study, some of the problems faced by the disabled and the studies aimed at eliminating these problems were examined and compared with the studies in the literature. In the study, a survey of 60 questions was organized to be answered by disabled individuals residing in Çanakkale province. The survey, which was answered by 60 disabled individuals, was analyzed by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 22.0. 44 (73.3 %) of the employees participating in the study are male, 24 (40 %) of them are between 36-45 years. Only 19 (31.7 %) of the participants have received higher education and higher education. 41 of the participants (68.3%) are working. Only 17 (41.5%) of the working participants work in the public sector. Of the participants, 23 (38.3%) were physical, 8 (13.4%) were mental, 7 (11.7%) were auditory, 2 (3.3%) had speech disorders, 2 (3.3%) had learning disabilities, 2 of them (3.3%) had visual impairment and 16 (26.7%) had disability in the other category. The data focused on the safe passage zones for the disabled, sports field, sports guidance and the insufficiency of the disabled staff in public institutions. The identified problems can be solved by establishing a unit for the determination, analysis and follow-up of the services to be provided for disabled individuals within the municipality.

    Newly Soluble and Non-Aggregated Copper(II) and Tin(II) Phthalocyanines: Synthesis, Characterization and Investigation of Photophysical and Photochemical-Responsive

    This work presents the synthesis and characterization of non-aggregated and highly soluble copper(II) and tin(II) phthalocyaninessubstituted with 2,6-dimethoxyphenoxy groups at the non-peripheral (alpha) and peripheral (beta) positions. The phthalocyanines havebeen characterized by common spectroscopic techniques. They show excellent solubility and non-aggregated species in common organicsolvents such as dimethylsulfoxide, dimethylformamide, tetrahydrofuran, toluene, acetonitrile, chloroform and dichloromethane, whichmake them candidates to use for many applications in different fields of science and technology. The effects positions of substituenton the phthalocyanine skeleton and the variety of central metal ions on the phthalocyanine of aggregation and on their spectroscopicproperties were determined in different solvents as mentioned above. The novel synthesized copper phthalocyanines were not evaluatedfor fluorescence, photophysical and photochemical properties due to transition metal and paramagnetic behavior of central metalin the phthalocyanine cavity. The effects of substituent and their positions on the tin(II) phthalocyanines’ on their photophysical(fluorescence quantum yields and lifetimes) and photochemical properties (singlet oxygen generation and photodegradation underlight irradiation) were also investigated and reported in dimethylsulfoxide for the first time.

    Synthesis and Spectroscopic Properties of Newly Tetrapyrazinoporphyrazine Containing Gadolinium(III) Acetate

    A new tetrakis-(2-methylpyrazino)porphyrazinato gadolinium(III) acetate complex was synthesized. Elemental analysis, Fourier-Transform Infrared, Ultraviolet-visible, and fluorescence spectroscopy techniques clarified its structure. It can dissolve very well without aggregation in both Dimethyl sulfoxide and N, N-Dimethylformamide, which have high dielectric constant and high dipole moment from polar aprotic solvent type. Its aggregation property was also investigated in dimethyl sulfoxide at different concentrations, and it was determined to contain monomeric species. In addition, its fluorescence properties were investigated in Dimethyl sulfoxide and the effect of gadolinium(III) acetate metal ion as a heavy rare earth element was determined. According to the findings in this study, it may be used as an electronic and optical material and in various technological applications such as photocatalytic applications. In addition, these findings may be useful for systems that include changes in pyrazinoporphyrazine-like forms.

    Synthesis, characterization, thermal and photophysical properties of novel strontium (II) phthalocyanine

    Newly phthalocyanine derivative which carries 2,6-dimethoxyphenoxy bioactive groups as tetrakis from non-peripheral positions of the phthalocyanine ring and contains strontium (II) as an alkaline earth metal ion in its cavity was synthesized. Its structure was characterized by elemental analysis, fourier transform infrared, ultraviolet–visible, proton nuclear magnetic resonance, carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance and matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectroscopic techniques. Its thermal properties were determined using thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The solubility and aggregation behavior in polar protic, polar aprotic and non-polar solvents were determined. Also, its aggregation behavior was studied at a range of different concentrations in dimethyl sulfoxide. The photophysical properties (fluorescence quantum yield, fluorescence lifetime, natural radiation lifetime, non-radiative lifetime, rate constant for fluorescence, non-radiative rate constant and observed fluorescence decay rate constant values) of newly strontium(II) phthalocyanine were determined in dimethyl sulfoxide. In addition, the spectroscopic, thermal and photophysical properties of newly strontium(II) phthalocyanine were also compared with its counterparts reported in the literature. The findings of this work can be useful to those systems involving changes in the forms analogous to the compound studied. In addition, newly strontium(II) phthalocyanine with particularly sufficient and enhanced photophysical properties, could be a photosensitizer candidate for photocatalytic applications.

    Uzaktan Eğitim Sistemi ile Gerçekleştirilen İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Eğitimlerinin Çalışan Memnuniyetine Etkisinin İncelenmesi

    Covid-19 salgını sonrası uzaktan eğitim sistemine yönelim ciddi şekilde artmıştır. Salgın hastalıklar sebebiyle iş sağlığı ve güvenliği eğitimlerinin de uzaktan eğitim yöntemi ile verilmesi son yıllarda yaygınlaşmıştır. Bu çalışmada, çalışanların almakta oldukları iş sağlığı ve güvenliği eğitimlerinin uzaktan eğitim sistemi ile verilmesine yönelik memnuniyetinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaca yönelik toplam 30 ifadeden oluşan ölçek araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiştir. Ölçek Çanakkale ilinde inşaat sektöründe görevli beyaz yaka işgörenlere uygulanmış, veriler Sosyal Bilimler için İstatistik Programı (SPSS) ile analiz edilmiştir. Faktör analizine göre, ölçeğin 6 faktörü (diğer eğitim sistemleri ile kıyaslama, sistem kullanımı, sistemin avantajı, bilgi edinimi, kariyer beklentisi ve sosyal yaşam) ölçmek için uygun olduğunu göstermiştir. Demografik özelliklerin uzaktan eğitim sistemi memnuniyet derecesine etkisi incelendiğinde ise medeni durum değişkeninin çok büyük, daha önce eğitim alma değişkenin büyük düzeyde etkilediği belirlenmiştir.
