| dc.description.abstract | As a flexible technique, simulation is one of the most powerful tools to analyze the systems, specially the complex ones. In this study, a simulation model of the packaging process at Echlin Company, an automotive parts manufacturer in Connecticut, is built using the well-known simulation software, ARENA™. Necessary data and information are taken from an earlier study on the same company. Six experiments were conducted with the simulation model to test the performance of the process under several conditions. Several performance statistics are collected and results are analyzed. Reliability and validity of the model is shown comparing the model results to the actual results from the process. | en_US |
