Ülkelerin TZKM kirlilikleri ile mücadele durumları ile ilgili elde edilen veriler tablolaştırılmış ve karşılaştırmalı bir bakış sağlanmıştır.Öğe Çanakkale Kıyılarında Farklı Yapım Materyallerinin Yemli Balık Tuzakların Av Verimine Etkisi(Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi, 2019) Ayaz, Adnan; Tezcan, ÖzgürThis study was conducted between November 2013 and November 2014 to determine the effects of different materials used on baited traps on fishing efficiency. In the study, three different types of traps with two different types of funnel, which were totally 12 traps, were prepared by covering wire mesh or multifilament net. Seventy-two fishing operation were performed in the coasts of Çanakkale and Gallipoli Peninsula. A total of 132.4 kg of catch, which belonged to 34 species in 18 families, were obtained during trials. According to the material used, the traps covered with wire mesh were seen more efficient than traps covered with rope net. However, there was no statistically significant difference among the aspects of number and weight of fishing (p>0.05). In the comparison of materials between the traps with the same model, the difference between the number of products was found to be insignificant (P>0.05). However, the difference between the weights of the product captured by the “O” shaped trap model was statistically significant (p<0.05). Although there is no significant difference in terms of fishing efficiency (p>0.05), it was concluded that the use of the multifilament net material in terms of ease of use and durability would be more appropriate.Öğe Evaluating Port Operation Managers' Competencies Related to the Port Environmental Sustainability Performance(University of Rijeka, Faculty of Maritime Studies Rijeka, 2021) Tezcan, Özgür; Kuleyin, BarışThe competency characteristics of managers affect decisions that identifying the strategies in an organization. Similarly, the strategies for sustainability issues are also related to the managers’ competency on sustainability. Thus, for better sustainability performance, the managers are expected to possess competencies in this direction. In this context, this study is aimed to evaluate the operations managers’ competencies in terms of environmental sustainability in ports, which have huge effects on the physical and biological environment. For this purpose, one of the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods, Analytic Network Process (ANP) was used to evaluate the priority weights of 15 competencies. Within a framework of container ports/terminals, the findings of this study show that “management skill”, “emergency procedures”, and “safety management” are the most primary competencies of port operations manager (POM) in terms of port environmental sustainability performance (PESP). The model used in this study can contribute to human resourcing and personnel training processes of ports.Öğe Kuzeydoğu Ege denizinde balık tuzaklarında kullanılan farklı yapım materyallerinin av verimine etkisi(Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi, 2015) Tezcan, Özgür; Ayaz, AdnanBu çalışma, yemli tuzaklarda kullanılan farklı materyallerin av verimine etkisini ölçmek amacıyla Kasım 2013 – Kasım 2014 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tel materyalin sert ve keskin uçlara sahip olmasının, tuzak içinden alınan bazı canlılarda gözlemlenen yaralanmaların sebebi olduğu düşünülmektedir.Öğe REVIEW OF FUEL CONSUMPTION AND GHG EMISSIONS DATA OF CONTAINER OPERATORS(2023) Tezcan, ÖzgürClimate change and global warming phenomena are taking up more and more space in our lives and their negative consequences are becoming more evident day by day. For a more livable planet and future, certain responsibilities fall on the maritime sector as well as on all parties. Ships, with their gigantic machinery that consumes fossil fuels, generate significant amounts of greenhouse gases. The International Maritime Organization aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from ships with various sanctions and expects ships to meet the relevant criteria. Ship operators and ship-owners have also started to show sensitivity to energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reduction issues due to both the sanctions of international organizations within the scope of climate change and high fuel costs. In this context, by focusing on container operators, this study aims to reveal the current situation of ship operating companies in these matters and to find out the correlation between average fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emission amounts and operator size. The findings show that the average fuel consumption per fleet capacity is related to the size of the operator, pointing to the importance of capacity utilization.Öğe Social and behavioral science trends in maritime studies: Keyword analysis(2023) Kan, Erdem; Tezcan, ÖzgürIt is known that the maritime industry is intertwined with scientific developments.
