Öğe Effect of Dynamic Irrigation Program on Corn Silage Quality(Aydin Adnan Menderes University, 2024) Kobak, Özen; Tas, İsmailThis research was conducted to determine the effects of dynamic irrigation program on corn silage quality. Different irrigation intervals (3, 6 and 9 days) and irrigation water levels (0.75, 1.00 and 1.25 times) were applied in the study. At the end of the research, the differences created by the dynamic irrigation program in silage quality parameters crude protein, crude ash, dry matter, ADF, NDF) were found to be significant (5% significance level). Crude protein ratios varied between 6.09-8.25%, crude ash ratios between 3.41-5.96%, dry matter ratios between 26.06-34.65%, Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF) ratios between 20.10-25.13% and Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF) ratios between 33.66-38.09%. In contrast, water resources are deteriorating continuously in terms of both quality and quantity. The ratio of fresh water used in agriculture is decreasing in each day against the increasing demands of the other sectors. For sustainable agricultural production, low quality waters should also be used in agricultural irrigations. Turkey is quite rich in boron reservoirs. Ground and surface water resources around these reservoirs are contaminated with boron compounds. Use of these sources is a highly significant issue for efficient use of limited water resources. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of boron-containing irrigation waters on plant characteristics of basil. Irrigation waters containing 0, 1, 2, 4 and 8 ppm boron were used in experiments and two harvests were performed. In the first harvest, plant fresh weights varied between 44.0-89.5 g/pot and plant heights varied between 32.5-44.0 cm. In the second harvest, plant fresh weights varied between 43.0-59.0 g/pot and plant heights between 31.8-35.5 cm. Differences in soil EC, pH, ESP, Na, Ca, Mg, K, B, HCO3, Cl and SO4 contents and plant Na, Ca, Mg, K, B, N, P, K and Cl contents were found to be significant at 5% significance level.Öğe İİkinci Ürün Silajlık Mısırda Dinamik Sulama Programının Verim ve Morfolojik Özellikler Üzerine Etkisi(Aydın Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi, 2021) Kobak, Ozen; Tas, İsmailThe aim of this study was to determine the effect of dynamic irrigation program on the yield and morphological characteristics of second crop silage maize (Zea mays) in 2016 under the ecological conditions of Manyas district of Balıkesir province. The FAO Penman Monteith method was used to create the dynamic irrigation program. Evapotranspiration (ETo) values calculated from daily climate data were applied by correcting them with plant coefficients (Kc). The study was carried out in randomized blocks divided plots test design in 3 replicates. In the study, 3 different irrigation intervals (3, 6 and 9 days) and 3 evapotranspiration (Etc) levels (75%, 100% and 125%) were examined. As a result of the research; maize seasonal actual evapotranspiration (ETa) 320-582 mm, Water Use Efficiency (WUE) 3.91-5.82 kg/da/mm, Irrigation Water Use Efficiency (IWUE) 4.26-6.92 kg/da/mm, green grass yield 6087.78-11062.82 kg/da, plant height 222.8-283 cm, leaf number 10.33-13.33, leaf weight 114.56-256.18 g, stem diameter 17.2-27.3 mm, stem weight 544-710 g, first cob height 71.66-101.16 cm, cob weight 342 -594 gr and plant weight varied between 1193-1502 gr. The highest plant height (274 cm) was taken in the area where 125% of the cumulative ETc value calculated in the three day irrigation interval is applied, while the highest green grass yield (11062 kg/da) was from the subject where 75% of the cumulative ETc value calculated in the six day irrigation interval has been obtainedÖğe Termik Santrallerin Etrafındaki Topraklarda Ağır Metal Kapsamlarının Belirlenmesi: Çanakkale Örneği(Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi, 2022) Parlak, Mehmet; Tas, İsmail; Görgişen, CerenKömürle çalışan termik santrallerin faaliyetleri sonucu etrafa yayılan en önemli kirleticilerden birisi de ağır metallerdir. Ağır metaller toprakta birikerek kirliliğe neden olmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı Çanakkale’deki 3 termik santralin(Bekirli, Değirmencik, Çan 18 Mart) etrafından rastgele alınmış yüzey topraklarında(0-5 cm) ağır metal konsantrasyonları ile ağır metallerin çevresel risklerini saptamaktır. Toprakların ağır metal analizleri ICP-OES kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Biga’daki(Bekirli ve Değirmencik) termik santrallerin etrafından alınmış topraklarda Cd, Cr, Mn, Ni ve Zn konsantrasyonu dünya topraklarından yüksek; Co, Cr ve Pb konsantrasyonu ise dünya topraklarından düşük saptanmıştır. Çan 18 Mart Termik Santrali etrafındaki topraklarda Cd, Mn ve Zn konsantrasyonu dünya topraklarından yüksek; Co, Cr, Cu, Ni ve Pb konsantrasyonu ise dünya topraklarından düşük belirlenmiştir. Hem Biga hem de Çan’daki termik santrallerde kirlilik faktörü Cd hariç diğer ağır metallerde (Mn, Pb ve Zn) orta düzeyde saptanmıştır. 3 termik santralin etrafındaki topraklar jeobirikim indeks değerlerine göre kirlenmemiş(Cd) ile aşırı derecede kirlenmiş(Mn) aralığında olup; kirlilik yük indeksine göre ise Cd, Cu, Mn ve Zn’da kirlenme saptanmıştır
